 For some reasons my USB peripherals were greyed on VirtualBox (except for my printer for some other weird reasons). Well that's an old story now. Hope this will work for you too...

Aimed for servers, Ksplice gives the opportunity to make important updates without rebooting your machine. Even though reboots are pretty rare on Linux systems, this feature can be very usefull to some, including me on the first place :)

I just discovered this pretty neat software a few days ago. Moovida is an all-in-one multimedia software that works on Windows and also Linux systems. Even if a few bugs remain due to its early stage, this software does bring some fresh ideas, and a real new approach in terms of multimedia management.
The look and feel is what surprise the most the first time you launch it. Straight away in full screen, the navigation system is fluid and very addictive. Here's a few screenshots from Moovida website and the repositories... |
